Gastly Spotlight Hour is coming to Pokémon GO on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and it’s time to get ready for an hour of increased Gastly spawns and a fantastic bonus for trainers looking to earn more XP!
During Gastly Spotlight Hour, Gastly will appear more frequently in the wild from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. This is a great opportunity to catch as many Gastly as possible, search for a Shiny Gastly, collect Gastly Candy, and make progress towards evolving your Pokémon.
The special bonus for this Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour is **2× Evolution XP**, giving trainers double the experience points for evolving Pokémon throughout the event. If you’re looking to level up your Trainer, this is the perfect time to prepare a collection of Pokémon ready to evolve. Consider saving Pokémon you’ve been meaning to evolve and using a Lucky Egg to maximise your XP gains during your evolution session.
Gastly is a Ghost-type and Poison-type Pokémon that evolves into Haunter and can eventually evolve into Gengar. Whether you’re a Shiny Pokémon hunter, a dedicated XP grinder, a Gengar collector, or simply looking to make the most of this week’s Pokémon GO event, Gastly Spotlight Hour is worth preparing for.
