In today’s episode of **Is It a Fair Trade?**, we’re putting another remote Pokémon GO trade to the test — and this time, we’re trading **Shiny Kyogre**!
I received a remote trade request from my latest **Forever Friend**, and while this looked like it could be a serious trade, this one was actually prearranged. We decided to do a **mirror trade for Shiny Kyogre**, giving both of us a chance to reroll the IVs and potentially walk away with something incredible.
The goal? A **Shundo Kyogre**.
I still don’t have the Shiny Kyogre hundo, so this was the perfect opportunity to try and get that elusive **100% IV Shiny Kyogre**. With a mirror trade, both Trainers are trading the same Pokémon, meaning the IVs get rerolled and there’s always that tiny possibility of hitting the jackpot.
But as we all know, Pokémon GO RNG can be absolutely brutal.
The trade goes through, the Pokémon comes back, and it’s time to check those IVs…

After all the anticipation, the RNG gods decided that I simply wasn’t allowed to have the Shundo. At this point, I’m starting to think I’m genuinely cursed when it comes to random number generation in Pokémon GO!
So now the big question is: **was this actually a fair trade?**
This is another episode of **Is It a Fair Trade?**, where we look at Pokémon GO trades, remote trades, Lucky Trades, mirror trades, shiny Pokémon, IV rerolls, and whether both Trainers are getting a good deal. Sometimes we get an incredible Pokémon, sometimes we get absolutely destroyed by RNG.
