New Pokémon GO data mines have revealed that Gible Community Day Classic is expected to return on September 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, and this could be one of the biggest Community Day Classic events we’ve seen in a long time. In this video, I break down everything we know so far from the latest Pokémon GO data mine, why Gible is making a comeback, and why every Trainer should be preparing now for what could be one of the best opportunities of the year to build an incredibly powerful Garchomp.
Gible has always been one of the most popular Dragon-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, and for good reason. Its evolution, Garchomp, is one of the strongest non-Mega Pokémon in the game, while Mega Garchomp ranks among the very best Ground-type and Dragon-type Mega Evolutions available. Whether you’re looking to improve your raid teams, prepare for future Legendary Raid Battles, dominate Team GO Rocket, or simply expand your collection, this event has something for every Pokémon GO player.
I also look back at the original Gible Community Day from 2021. During that event I managed to catch six shiny Gible, making it one of my favourite Community Days ever. Now, with Community Day Classic bringing Gible back, there’s another chance to hunt for shiny Gible, chase the elusive shundo, collect huge amounts of Candy and Candy XL, and evolve your best Gabite into a powerful Garchomp with its exclusive Community Day move.
If the leaks prove accurate, Trainers will likely be able to evolve Gabite into Garchomp during the event and for a limited time afterwards to obtain Earth Power, one of Garchomp’s strongest Charged Attacks. Earth Power dramatically improves Garchomp’s performance as a Ground-type attacker, making it one of the highest-priority exclusive moves to add to your collection. If you’ve been waiting to build the perfect raid attacker or PvP Garchomp, this could be your best opportunity.
Community Day Classic events are also known for featuring boosted shiny rates, making them one of the easiest ways to catch multiple shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO. If you’ve never caught a shiny Gible before, or if you’re hunting for a shiny with perfect IVs, this event could finally be your chance to add a shundo Garchomp to your account.
This video covers everything currently known about the leaked Gible Community Day Classic, including the reported event date and time, expected bonuses, exclusive move predictions, shiny hunting opportunities, Mega Garchomp preparation, Candy XL farming, and what this event could mean for both new and veteran Pokémon GO players. As with any data mine, details could change before Scopely officially announces the event, so be sure to keep an eye out for confirmation in the coming weeks.
If you’re planning to participate, now is the perfect time to start preparing. Save your Pinap Berries, clear Pokémon storage, stock up on Ultra Balls, activate Mega Evolution bonuses during the event, and get ready to maximise your Candy XL gains. Every Gible you catch could help build one of the strongest Ground and Dragon attackers available in Pokémon GO.
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Are you excited for Gible Community Day Classic? Did you play the original Community Day back in 2021? How many shiny Gible did you catch, and will you be hunting for the perfect IV or shundo this time around? Let me know your goals for the event!
